Alternative Metals

There are a few different types of alternative metals used for wedding bands such as titanium, tungsten carbide, cobalt, and ceramic wedding rings. These metals are not precious. Titanium

TITANIUM, Named for the Titans, sons of the Greek gods, Titanium, when pure, is a lustrous, grayish white metal. It has a low density, good strength, is easily fabricated, and has excellent corrosion resistance. It is mainly used in jewelry as an accent metal in Men's jewelry. Cobalt

COBALT, is an alternative metal, white color, harder than platinum, and similar to platinum appearance. Cobalt is not a precious metal. It is more scratch resistant than titanium and other precious metals. It can be sized slightly without cutting into the ring. The weights of cobalt rings are very similar to the weight of gold rings. Wow it a great service for society. I bought three rings for a friend Palladium Platinum and White Gold. they loved the rings to the max. Customer service was good and rings delivered on time. It my second experience of buying from wedding bands.com the first was for my self and my wife and the second to a friend who is about to marry. My husband and I have been married for 25 years. His old wedding band was cheap but all we could afford. Over the course of 25 years it had seen a lot of abuse and actually broke because it was so thin. I bought him a comfort fit plain gold band. I tried to guess his size from the old one. Way off. Had to send it back. Made a few calls to customer Service. They were awesome and patient with me. They answered all my questions. The e-mails help me keep track of the shipping which was pretty fast. We decided to take a chance ordering wedding bands online after seeing what the local shops had to offer. Without qualification we got more for our money and we didnt have to listen to crappy piped-in store music and desperate pitches from salesmen on commission. We would definitely recommend bypassing the stores and coming here for wedding bands.- SCHC, Maryland
